For humanity to grow and prosper, we must preserve the richness and wonder of the natural world, learning to exist side-by-side with eight million other species, of which one million stand at risk of extinction today. We are at the moment of no return; if we do not act, we cannot come back.

As more than 200 nations and international organisations gathered at Expo 2020 Dubai, we put the climate crisis firmly on the table, welcoming critical perspectives on how to repair and restore our planet and inspiring action points that offer a credible cause for optimism, hope and renewed urgency.

We will continue to champion inclusive, sustainable and impact-led climate action that leaves no one behind, including future generations.

“The natural world is threatened by the onset of man-made climate change. While we recognise the urgency of our situation, we commit to channelling our collective ability towards crafting policy and influencing behaviour. We must reverse damage to our environment by investing in concerted, collaborative and scalable biodiversity conservation and regeneration efforts. All of us must exercise our right and responsibility to advance climate action for the benefit of future generations”
